2024 Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday is Here!
Save on Back-to-School Gear Now thru Aug 11
Florida's back-to-school tax-free holiday provides a much-needed financial break for families preparing for the new school year. By eliminating sales tax on essential items like clothing, school supplies and electronics, parents can stretch their budgets further, ensuring their children have everything they need to start the year off right.
What Items Qualify?
During the 2024 Florida Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday the following are exempt from sales tax:
- Clothing, footwear, and accessories with a sales price $100 or less per item
- School supplies with a sales price of $50 or less per item
- Learning aids (like flashcards, matching games, toys that teach, etc.) and jigsaw puzzles with a sales price of $30 or less
- Personal computers and related accessories with a sales price of $1,500 or less (when purchased for noncommercial home or personal use)
The sales tax holiday does not apply to the rental or repair of any of the qualifying items. Additionally, the sales tax holiday does not apply to sales in a theme park, entertainment complex, public lodging establishment or airport.
