An exciting step forward for commercial development in Bridgewater Village took place Thursday, July 15th.
A groundbreaking ceremony was held for a proposed project called “The Spot @ Silver Lining.” The property located at
Lake Smith Circle and Falcon Centre Ave is between the Publix-anchored
Cornerstone at Summerport and the Lakefront Shoppes on Big Fish Court. It's owned by local residents and doctors of psychiatry, husband and wife, Drs. Saleh and Sherin Parvez.

The proposed 2 story, 15,000 square foot building is a preliminary project of a prospective 52,300-square-foot office/retail complex with a total of four buildings at Lake Smith Circle in the heart of
Summerport Village. This upcoming development combined with the future planned buildout of two remaining parcels right on the shore of Lake Speer on Big Fish Court will complete commercial development of the Bridgewater Village center.
At the groundbreaking, Dr. Saleh Parvez made a heartfelt speech to express his gratitude for the many groups and individuals who made efforts to move the project forward since it’s 2018 inception. Among those thanked for their support and suggestions were members of the Parvez family, Orange County officials, Summerport Commercial POA President Joe Landis, and community catalyst Cynthia Dailey.
Dr. Parvez also thanked and recognized his business manager, the teams at RB Marks Construction, Dave Schmitt Engineering, Cuhaci & Peterson (the initial architects on the project) and architect Robby Joshi from The Metro Group, which will be responsible for construction architecture.
Recognizing the incredible growth of our area, Dr. Parvez commented on his hopefulness to make a positive impact on the Horizon West community and its residents with this project.
Phase 1 plans for The Spot is to be the new home the doctors' practice,
Silver Lining Psychiatry, as well as to offer additional medical, office space and retail space.
Two prospective tenants attended the ceremony. One is interested in opening a high-end yoga studio. The other intends to bring liege waffles to a café at The Spot.
What offerings would you like to see come to the village center of Bridgewater? We'd love to hear your thoughts on this post in the Horizon West Happenings group, where HW residents connect and create their best lives as a community.
Bridgewater Village is one of the five villages of Horizon West, not including the Town Center. It’s known for its established landmark neighborhoods including Summerport and Independence. As is the plan for each Horizon West village, Bridgewater’s commercial offerings are distributed close to residential areas to support a walkable or bikeable lifestyle. This occurs through a use of a village center close to the highest density homes and smaller neighborhood centers that are co-located with parks and schools in residential neighborhoods.
Other nearby businesses in Bridgewater Village Center include:
Lakefront Shoppes on Big Fish Ct.
Cornerstone at Summerport
At this time, there is only one neighborhood center in Bridgewater (near Keene’s Crossing Elementary). Central Parc Shoppes includes:
