Sheriffs and Fire Rescue Say Thank You!
The Orange County Sheriff's Office
showed support for our healthcare heroes at Orlando Health
Emergency Room and Medical Pavilion in Horizon West with a Lights and Sirens Caravan on Thursday, April 23, 2020
Orange County Fire Rescue Department, Florida
and Reedy Creek Fire and Rescue Department Emergency Medical Services
joined in the caravan and celebration to show their gratitude for the healthcare workers in our community. The OCSO Mounted Unit even showed up as Sheriff John Mina and his team handed out small gifts as tokens of appreciation.
Orlando Health is a community-based family of facilities dedicated to serving the needs of our community. Horizon West is home to a state-of-the-art Emergency Room, suite of Physicians Associates providing a variety of specialty care services and the future home of a 200+ bed acute care facility.
Events like this show our healthcare workers, administrators and security staff that we are behind them every step of the way. Here are some other ways we can safely say thank you to the people who are working hard to keep Horizon West healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Share their stories online
to encourage others to do their part by staying home and holding the line!
- Order food from a local restaurant
to be delivered to your local ER or Fire Station. Purchase gift cards to be delivered to the teams behind the scenes such as reception, security, admin, etc
- Donate masks to frontline workers at Orlando Health! The hospitals are in desperate need of masks. Be sure to check appropriate guidelines for donation in the link.
If you know someone who is working hard to keep Horizon West healthy, share a photo or story of them in our Facebook group.
There is so much we can do from home to encourage others around us in a positive way!
